Managing Your Links
Create, edit, organise, and manage your short links like a pro
The Links Page
The Links page is your central hub for managing all your shortened URLs. It displays your links in a table with the following columns:
- EziLink — your short link URL (e.g. ezl.me/x8k2p)
- Original URL — the destination the link redirects to
- Tags — any tags you have assigned for organisation
- Date Created — when the link was first created
- Date Last Edited — when the link was most recently modified
Above the table, you will find three filter tabs to quickly narrow your view:
- All — every link in your account
- Active — links that are currently working
- Expired — links that have passed their expiration date

Creating a New Link
Click the "+ Create New Link" button to open the link creation form. Here is a breakdown of every field available:
The link creation form with all fields, QR preview, and Creator Pass toolbar options
EziLink (Short URL)
This row determines the short URL that will be generated for your link:
- Domain selector — choose from
ezl.me(the default domain) or any custom domains you have verified. Custom domains are available on the Creator Pass - Custom alias PRO — type a memorable alias instead of a random code. For example,
ezl.me/summer-saleinstead ofezl.me/a3x9k. Allowed characters: letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores (3-50 characters) - Random generator button — click the refresh icon to generate a new random short code. Free plan users always receive a randomly generated code
Destination URL (Required)
The full URL where visitors will be redirected when they click your short link. Must start with http:// or https://. You can change this at any time after creating the link.
Tags
Add tags to organise your links into categories. Type a tag name and press Enter to add it. You can add multiple tags per link and later filter your link list by tag.
Comments
Add internal notes about the link. Comments are only visible to you and will never be shown to link visitors. Useful for noting campaign details, target audience, or context.
Creator Pass Link Options PRO
The toolbar at the bottom of the link creation form provides access to advanced options available on the Creator Pass:
Password Protection PRO
Require visitors to enter a password before they are redirected to the destination URL. Perfect for sharing private documents, exclusive content, or internal resources.
- Click the Password button in the toolbar
- Enter a password of your choice
- Visitors will see a password prompt when they click the link
- To remove protection, clear the password field and save
Expiration Date and Time PRO
Set an exact date and time when the link should stop working. After expiration, visitors will see a message that the link has expired.
- Click the Expiration button in the toolbar
- Select an expiration date using the date picker
- Optionally set a specific time (defaults to midnight if not set)
- To remove the expiration, click "Remove" to make the link permanent
UTM Parameters PRO
Append campaign tracking parameters to your destination URL so you can measure the effectiveness of your marketing in tools like Google Analytics. Read the full UTM guide →
| Parameter | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| utm_source | Traffic source | google, facebook, newsletter |
| utm_medium | Marketing medium | cpc, email, social, banner |
| utm_campaign | Campaign name | summer_sale, product_launch |
| utm_term | Search keywords | running+shoes, discount |
| utm_content | Content identifier | header_link, sidebar_banner |
Targeting Rules PRO
Redirect visitors to different destination URLs based on their location, device, or browser. Non-matching visitors go to the default destination URL.
- Country targeting — send visitors from different countries to localised pages
- Device targeting — different URLs for mobile vs desktop users
- Browser targeting — specific URLs for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.
- OS targeting — target Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux
- Referrer targeting — different destinations based on where traffic originated
Example: Send Australian visitors to example.com/au and US visitors to example.com/us, while everyone else goes to the default destination.
QR Code Preview
Every link automatically receives a QR code. The QR code preview panel appears on the right side of the creation form and updates in real time as you type your destination URL.
- Colour picker PRO — change the QR code colour to match your brand
- Logo selector PRO — add a centre or corner logo to your QR code for professional branding
